Wyoming Quilt Shows
- May 14-16, 1999The Sweetwater County Quilt Show presents:
Quilting on the Green.
Location: Pavilion on Expedition Island in Green River, Wyoming.
Show hours: 10 am - 4 pm on Friday and Saturday, May 14th & 15th,
Sunday hours are 10 am - 2 pm, admission is free. A Merchants Mall is
also available during show hours with many items and fabrics for your
quilting needs.
A lunch will be served on Friday for a cost of $6.50 each, proceeds
going to the non-profit group providing lunch.
A Trunk Show with desserts served afterwards is scheduled on Friday
night at 7 pm. Advanced tickets must be purchased for $7.50. Limited
seating is available so get your tickets early.
This year's show features teachers Gloria Greenlee from Cheyenne,
Wyoming. Sue Hatt from Salt Lake City, Utah and Shelly Spalding from
Green River, Wyoming. A variety of classes include, Somerset Patches,
Cathedral Windows, Playing with large-scale Multi, Bargello and Beyond,
Scrappy Sawtooth Star, Red Cross Hourglass and an Intro to Quilting /
Log Cabin.
The show includes ten categories for quilt entries.

The show is produced in cooperation with the Sweetwater County Quilt
Show Committee, the Green River Parks and Recreation Department and the
Sweetwater County Joint Travel and Tourism Board. Other contributors
include Puzzled Piecers Quilt Guild, Sweetwater Piecemakers Quilt Club,
VQB, Bridger Valley Quilters and a Little Country Character.
